If you, or someone you know has been affected by the flooding in Georgia, there is some good news.  The president has declared many metro-Atlanta counties as disaster areas.  Because of this, you may qualify for an automatic extension to December 17, 2009 to file your tax return, and make tax payments.  The link below will take you to the IRS website which gives more information.  The state of Georgia has adopted the federal disaster extension period.
